Drumstick Time

On the Chinese Lunar Calendar, today is the 16th. And this marks 4mths old for Baby Javelle (though the actual date is on the 26th). Hence we need to pai pai. A simple procedure to be carried out on the bed. The offerings is meant for the Chuang Mu (known as the bed-goddess). My in-law mentioned that when there are babies ard, the Chuang Mu will be there to protect them and play with them. You will realised that babies will tend to smile or talk to themselves at times. The oldies believe that the Chuang Mu is the one who is playing with them..

There is also another saying that babies can only taste other food apart from milk only after the 4th month. And to have the official grand opening of the babies' taste bud, on this very day, we need to provide them a drumstick to start off with.

(But i also dunno why it must be a drumstick. Just follow their ways lor.. Nothing to lose anyway)

We are actually supposed just to have the drumstick rubbed against her lips to have some sample tasting. But Javelle really opens up her mouth to have a big bite of the drumstick..
