Week 39 - The Waiting Game

It seems like forever for me to cuddle BB Javelle in my arms.. Have been waiting but the day is not here yet. BB Javelle seems to be very comfy and happy staying in my tummy. While im suffering from the heavy weight and dragging myself everywhere i go.

However, spotting is found on Monday evening (22/10/07). Thinking that i might see my little princess on Shawn's BD, which is on 23rd. However there is no signs of contractions at all.

This morning, i found that the spotting is getting heavier and called my gynae. He told me that it's most likely to be just a sign that the cervix is beginning to soften, maybe even dilate and i was asked to do a chk at the hospital. I was worried and happy at the same time. Worried is that im having the discharge but there is no contractions. I really dun wish to end up having caesarean like one of my fren's sis who experienced that. And im happy thinking that i might be seeing BB Javelle any time soon today.

When i reached the hospital, my gynae was there too. Hence he did a chk for me. To my disappointment, he told me that im only dilated btw 0.5cm to 1cm only. And since my water bag has not break, i should go hm and monitor the situation again as it will be a waste of time to wait in the hospital.

Shawn is disappointed too as he is looking forward to meet BB Javelle. He rushed hm from work this morning thinking that this is the big day. He was so anxious that he tore the wrong date on his weekend car coupon (wasted $20). He has been so excited these few days. He would always walk into BB's room, opening the wardrobe to look at the BB's clothings. He told me how he wants to decorate BB's room, the colour that he wants to paint himself. And he talks to BB every night, asking when will she be arriving, telling BB how much he wants to play with her. And he will smile to himself when talking to BB, esp when he saw her reactions from my tummy. I can see the fatherly love from his eyes even thou he has not met his little princess yet.

I will be going back to my gynae's clinic to do a chk again tomorrow morning. If there is still no news within these few days, i will be undergoing induce labour on 31/10/07 (the actual due date). Hopefully things will turn out well.
